For the unglazed tiling works, 60cm x 60cm granite tile is used. Just multiply your total area in square meter to the factors above and you should get a conservative materials estimate for your tiling works. The factor for the labor cost is around 30% – 45% of the total materials cost. Since granite tile is more labor sensitive as it needs buffing, trimming and polishing, its labor cost is also way steeper compared to glazed tile sample above.
The average labor cost for granite tiling per square meter is around Php 1,652.00. Thus, getting a total cost of Php 6,166.00 per square meter.
Furthermore, unglazed tiles are best used in wet areas suck us bathroom because it is more slip resistant. Also, unglazed tiles are preferred to outdoor gardening and tiling works because it is not apparent when the tile is chipped.

This guide should be handy for people who already have existing concrete column posts. We just quantified the steel gate itself since people were asking how much the construction of their gates are.
This is the actual plan for a typical metal gate and the material breakdown with prices are listed below.
Steel / Metal Gate Construction Perspective Plan | philconprices.com
Materials Breakdown: 1.) 2″ x 2″ Square Tube, 17 pcs (Php 649) – 6 meters per length : [Php 11,033.00]
2.) Pillow Block , 4 pcs (Php 240) : [Php 960.00]
3.) Cutting Disk , 5 pcs (Php 40) : [Php 200.00]
4.) Welding Rod , 4 kilos (Php 80) : [Php 320.00]
5.) Irod Rod – 1′ : [Php 100.00] – to find the cheapest one, check for junkshops near you they might have good scrap iron rods.
Total Material Cost : [Php 12,613.00].
The prices per location may vary. Find hardware shops that can deliver these materials right at your doorsteps. Look for deals where welding machine and other equipment are to be taken care of by the contractor. Labor cost including equipment should be around 40% – 70% of the materials cost. Thus, say, around Php 7,500.00, bringing a total construction cost of around Php 20,200.00. Painting work is not included. The actual timeline to finish this metal gate is around 2-4 days.
For the painting, you can do it yourself. Just buy these additional materials.
1.) 2″ Paint Brush, 3 pcs (Php 60) : [Php 180.00]
2.) Fine-grit Sand Paper, optional : [Php 120.00]
3.) Rust Converter / Primer, 1L : [Php 230.00]
4.) Red Lead, optional 1L : [Php 150.00]
5.) Metal Paint, 1 Gal : [Php 450.00]
Hence, additional painting cost is around Php 1,130.00 if you do the painting work yourself.
Check this if you are looking for in-budget but outstanding quality powertools.
Since the gate dimension here differs to the ones that you have, again, this serves only as a guide. We hope to help those people who may not be affiliated with any engineers / architects. Still, when you can, we suggest you seek professional help so they can attend to your concerns right away.

This post should help you determine the amount you need to construct a stand-alone single garage. Meaning, it is a different structure and is not a part of your actual house. Below is the 3D plan of the garage.
Typical Stand-alone Garage | philconprices.com
This may be the most simplified version of typical garages that serves its purpose — that is to keep your car from the elements. There is no fascia and ceiling to lower down the cost. Building it with fascia and ceiling is completely optional but it is suggested not to have it since Filipinos are very budget-minded.
The garage construction cost breakdown is as follows:
Concreting Structure: Total =PhP 20,954.99
Footing = PhP 2,273.12
Column = PhP 4,750.28
Slab-on-Grade = PhP 9,555.83
Formworks = PhP 4,375.76
Roofing Works: Total = Php 23,995.14
Truss and Roof Sheets = PhP 23,995.14
Painting Works: Total = Php 4,008.19
Column = Php 809.02
Trusses = Php 3,199.17
Electrical Works (without wall lamps):
Wiring and Lighting = Php 2,211.30
Electrical Works (with wall lamps):
Wiring and Lighting = Php 6,072.15
With a total construction material cost of Php 51,169.62 without the wall lamps and Php 55,030.47 with the wall lamps. Again, that amount is for the materials only. The labor rate is around 40%-60% of the materials cost (this is only a guide as labor rates vary per location). Please also note that general materials prices is used in the calculation of the total construction price. Materials prices differ per region.
The estimated labor cost should be around Php 25,000.00-30,000.00 and they should be able to complete this in 10 – 21 days. If there is a contractor / engineer / architect near you then you better hire one. In fact, it is ALWAYS advised to hire a professional. They’ll know what you need and they can answer your questions right away.
This post is created for a relative. She badly wants to start constructing her house as her fund is depleting real quick. So, this is a one story house with a footing foundation provision for a two-story house. The materials breakdown, plan and approximate prices comes with it.
Typical Single Story Perspective | philconprices.com
Since the fund is limited, she decided to put up one-story for the meantime. Soon enough, if fund becomes available, she will be renovating this to have its second floor.
Typical Single Story Details 1 | philconprices.com
If you inspect it, the footing depth is set deep enough to cater the loads of a two-story house. Tie beams were included as this house will be located on a sandy-soil. It helps in keeping the structure on its level and shape in case one footing gets displaced.
Click here if you are looking for typical metal gate construction materials breakdown.
Typical Single Story Details 2 | philconprices.com
Again, since the fund is limited, there will be no partition for the meantime. Their original house is just beside this new construction so they do not have to worry about where they will be sleeping. Wooden truss is used instead of steel since a future floor extension is considered. Looking for affordable powertools or chainsaw? Click here.
The prices differs per location. Some construction materials prices may be expensive in one area and cheap on the other. The construction materials breakdown where divided such that non-technical people will be able to estimate the amount corresponding to the work. In example, if you do not have money yet for the plastering works, then just deduct the plastering work amount. This is a single story house with a two-story foundation sample calculation of materials cost that Filipino may incur if they decided to build one.
